This is one restaurant which is usually packed during dinner times. So, it gave me the impression that the noodles here must be good or special. I took the opportunity to try out their noodles during dinner before the main crowd comes in. To my delight, the noodles here do not disappoint. The chef prepared and cooked them well. All the noodles that I tried and tasted, Hokkien mee, fried kuey teow and Cantonese fried noodle, were delicious and have enough "wok hei". Basically, they were cooked with enough heat and well stirred and fried. What makes the taste stand out, I believe, is the pork lard used. It brings out the special flavour in them especially the Hokkien mee and fried kuey teow. This definitely needs experience and skill of a good chef. The only downside of the tasty noodles are the ingredients. Amount and portion of shrimp and pork slices used, even the vegetables, were too little and disproportionate as compared to the portion of noodles. So, you may find yourself not really filling after eating them. It could be a way to get customers to order their side dishes like grilled chicken wings and fried tofu mixed with fish cake.
